| Description: | Indian Creek Correctional Center located in Chesapeake, VA is one of the largest, (1,060 male beds), medium security dormitory style Therapeutic Communities in the nation. Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is recruiting for a senior level administrator to oversee clinical and operational activities of the 12 substance use disorder treatment units that comprise the institution. The ideal candidate will be highly versed in Therapeutic Community programming to individuals under criminal justice supervision. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with evidence based principles of offender rehabilitation institutional change management, be detailed oriented, and committed to the professional development of all staff. The position will oversee nearly 50 multidisciplinary staff that comprise Indian Creek Correctional Center and the Virginia Correctional Center for Women in Goochland, Virginia. The candidate will maintain a full time office onsite at Indian Creek Correctional Center and will conduct regularly scheduled visits to the Virginia Correctional Center for Women to ensure contract compliance and program fidelity. Salary for this position is $68,000-$75,000 annually. Mileage is reimbursed for travel between sites. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: § State Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)/CADC in the state of Virginia or similar certification recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors is required. § Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Education or closely related field preferred. § A minimum of 3 years of experience working in Therapeutic Community model programs is highly preferable. § A minimum of 5 years of management experience is required. § Corrections experience or experience directing treatment services within a secure environment is required. § Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. |
