Springfield man serving time for killing stepson dies in prison |

JEFFERSON CITY -- A Springfield man serving life in prison for murdering his stepson died Monday. William Jones, 70, was in prison for the first-degree murder of Trevor. Jones was pronounced dead at a local hospital at about 2:05 p.m. Jan. 8. The Missouri Department of Corrections Center where William was being held does not suspect foul play. The department says an autopsy will be performed. William arrived at the correctional facility on Nov. 13, 2013, following the conclusion of the case. Read More. |
