On Saturday July 14, 2018, Offender Matthew Massero was murdered at Buena Vista Correctional Facility. The offender suspects have been identified and were removed from population immediately following the incident. The incident is currently under investigation by the DOC Office Inspector General and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. This is an active investigation so no other details can be released at this time. |
