We all have been manupliated by an inmate at one time or another. What was the best time you got had by an inmate? Let use these as a learning experience, a good laugh and good instructions for the FNG’s. I know an officer who was new on the job and an inmate asked him to order him a sub from Subway and gave the officer a ten dollar bill. The officer being new did order the sub, had it delevered to the institution and then handed it to the inmate as well as his change... full thread

New Legal Standards for Juvenile Justice

Juvenile justice in the U.S. has for four decades been governed by only a single set of federal standards: those of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) of 1974. Revised several times, the JJDPA establishes federal oversight of state juvenile justice programs and enumerates basic standards. Advocates have called for new updates to the statute, which has not been reauthorized since 2002, and shortly after the beginning of the current Congressional session Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Rhode Island) introduced the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Reauthorization Act (JJDPRA) of 2014 to accomplish those ends... .. full story
