I am looking into starting a k9 unit for my Department in Ossipee, NH. Mainly I want to k9 for narcotics detection but also possibly tracking. I am looking for grants to help fund the unit. Does anyone know of any that will support us correctional facilities that are not run by the Sheriffs Department. I am running into the problem that in the “grant” world we are not considered Law Enforcement unless we are run by the Sheriffs Departments. Any help would be much appreciated.
