I buy my stuff that has a little made in America flag on it. If it doesn’t the stuff usually falls apart fast or is made of subpar materials that then to break or tear if I ever have to get into a physical altercation. Uniform stores are great but expensive. I suggest you go there and look at the brands and what not you like and pick up like some belt keepers there. They tend to be cheaper there and you support a local business. Then I tend to buy the bigger tagged items on E-Bay or Amazon bidding low ball pays off some times but only on certain items that I have picked out like brand and model items. There are supply companies online and some have clearance sales and specials at times. Just look it up on line. Online shops tend to be cheaper because technically you’re shopping for specialty items. This for some reason lets them jack the price up at store fronts double what you pay on line. I prefer vinyl items because I work outside often and leather gets crappy when it gets wet. As for footwear spend some real money on a good boot or be prepared to replace them when the heel rips off in a fight. I like a side zipper so I don’t have to lace up every day. |

Hey, thanks for the reply. Sorry it took me so long to reply back, been moving. Do I need to buy a duty belt also? Also is there a particular place you recommend to get the stuff from? |

Buy belt keepers, pepper spray holster, radio holster, QUALITY key keepers, and keep an extra set of shoe strings in your lunch box. Other than that keep in mind EVERY ONE lies. The proper answer is NO if you don’t know the answer. You cannot give an inmate anything not state issued. Follow P&P. Have fun. |

Hello everyone. As the title says I am starting at Alexander prison in NC in a little under two weeks. I was wondering if there was anyone else that works or have worked there? Also what will I need, as far as stuff I need to buy? I already have a good pair of boots to wear, so I got that one covered already. Any tips or advice anyone has is much appreciated. |
